● Meeting hall construction update as of March 15, 2012

1. A site meeting was held on March 15 to discuss the work progress.
2. The offsite contractor has started work on the BC Hydro power installation, pole location, and street
    lamp placement.
3. Seven lamp standards have been installed at the parking lot. Paving stones will be installed in the coming weeks.
4. The City has signed and approved the insulation and drywall components of the building.
5. Final inspection on the roof membrane will be done next week and the building envelope consultant will sign this off.
6. The main sanctuary is being painted. Next, the lighting, HVAC diffusers, and sound system will be installed.
7. We have decided to proceed with the installation of acoustic wall panels for controlling reverberation in the main sanctuary. The cost of the panels is $20K.
8. We have decided to order 700 chairs for the main sanctuary, and about 6-8 weeks’ lead time is needed for delivery. The cost of the chairs is $33K.
9. We need to pray more intensely for the building to be finished on time and for all exterior and interior furnishings to be ready for use by the turnover date.
10. May the Lord bless us richly in all the physical needs and energize us in gospel preaching an be  shepherding.
