● Meeting hall construction update as of March 2, 2012:
- Insulation and drywall are still being installed in the rooms on the ground floor and second floor. This portion of the work is expected to be completed by the end of March.
- The walls of main meeting hall (sanctuary) are being sealed in preparation for painting.
- Next week, the offsite contractor will do the groundwork for BC Hydro to run the conduits for power lines and to relocate the electric pole.
- The decision has been made fort he Hydro power lines to run beneath the grass-covered strip, so the sidewalk does not have to be entirely removed and replaced, except for a small section. The driveway, however, has to be taken out and repaved later.
- Mechanical and electrical roughing-in will take another month to finish.
- Work on the ceiling is scheduled after all the ductwork and electrical wiring are finished.
